A mature garden is one that’s ever so slightly overgrown with an array of established shrubs plants and trees. With that in mind, is there any need to carry out daily gardening tasks?
Well if you have a lawn that will always need mowing because it’s one thing to have a mature garden, but it’s another to have a forest. Leaves will always need raking in the winter, and patios will always need cleaning. Plants will also need watering, so the answer is simply yes. If you want to have a nice looking mature garden then it is going to need some maintenance. Remember mature gardens are not messy, they’re just designed to look established and privatised.

The majority of pubs in the UK have gardens, well those outside the city centres do, and there are many pieces of gardening furniture needed to make a top quality pub garden that keeps locals coming back for more. Firstly, you’ll need a sheltered smoking area. Canopies are really popular, and they provide shelter from the rain and wind in the winter, and of course protection from sunshine in the summer. A little park area for the kids is always nice too, as is an area of lawn, trees and shrubs, because who doesn’t like nature? In the colder months, it’s also good to install toasty outdoor heaters, and you always have to always be thinking about the things regulars need to enjoy their time in your pub garden. Holding BBQs from time to time can also be a good shout, and getting a good quality gas BBQ can help you draw more paying customers in to your pub.

Patio awnings outstretch to provide a roof to an outdoor area. They offer protection from adverse wind or sun conditions. The awnings provide you shade from the sun’s heat while you are relaxing outdoors, they keep you safe from damaging UV rays but at the same time, you get to enjoy the outdoor sunny feel. Patio awnings also provide you shelter from the unexpected showers .Awnings are not to be taken down at the end of summer rather the frames remain standing and the awnings can be withdrawn at the owners wish.
The adjacent in-house room is able to get a natural cooling from awnings because they stop reaching the glass panels .The patio awning thus go a long way in protecting furnishings from getting bleached by the sun.
Awnings are made of a folding canopy rolled around a roller tube that is attached to folding arms. The arms contain springs that attach to tear resistant steel cables. These arms push against the lead rail extending the awning and keeping the fabric tightly stretched. (more…)

With spring now among us, it’s time to celebrate longer evenings, more sunshine and more fun! It’s a time to invite friends and family round for a spot of alfresco dining, and if you’re garden hasn’t got any wind, rain or sunlight protection, you may want to invest in a canopy. A canopy doesn’t stop you from feeling as though your outside, but it can prevent British weather from ruining your garden shindig. Enjoying a barbecue or a glass of wine outside is delightful in the springtime, and it’s even better when you eradicate that cold British breeze. There are many canopies to choose from and they can take the bite of the wind away. Retractable canopies are very easy to use, and there are plenty of materials to choose between, whilst you may want to install an outdoor heater to the structure of the canopy, that way you’re feel cosy well into the night.

We recently had a porch installed on our house and it’s actually one of the best investments we’ve made and we’re going to tell you why.
- It keeps the rain of our back – Okay this is a rather obvious one but it makes a huge difference when you step out of the car and spend 5 minutes fiddling with your keys. We no longer walk into the house soaking wet.
- We also find the keys easier too, and that’s because we’ve had lights and sensors fitted to our porch. As soon as we step up to the porch the lights come on, and it’s a great deterrent for burglars.
- It looks fantastic. Our porch is constructed of wood with the same tiles on top that we’ve used on our house’s roof. It makes ours stand out form those around us and I’m sure it’s going to add value to our home.
